UISPP 2026 Acknowledgments

Dear Colleagues, Participants of the 21st UISPP World Congress,

Our gathering in Poznań is now drawing to a close. We have shared several days of intensive sessions, inspiring presentations, and thought-provoking discussions that have demonstrated both the richness of contemporary archaeology and the strength of international academic cooperation.

This Congress brought together 720 participants, making Poznań a truly global meeting place for archaeologists representing diverse countries, research traditions, and fields of expertise. The scale of our gathering is a source of great satisfaction, but its true value lies in the exchange of knowledge, ideas, and experiences that has taken place here.

On behalf of the Faculty of Archaeology at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, I would like to thank you most sincerely for accepting our invitation, for your active participation in the Congress, and for sharing the results of your research. Above all, thank you for creating an atmosphere of openness, dialogue, and genuine academic community. Your presence has made the first UISPP World Congress ever held in Poland a truly exceptional event.

I would like to express my particular gratitude to the leadership and representatives of UISPP for their trust, excellent cooperation, and invaluable contribution to the organisation of this Congress. I also thank all members of the scientific and organising committees, session organisers, Faculty staff, and everyone involved in preparing this event. Thanks to your knowledge, experience, dedication, and hard work, we have been able to welcome archaeologists from around the world to Poznań.

My heartfelt thanks also go to our volunteers. Your enthusiasm, kindness, patience, and readiness to help were evident throughout the Congress. An event of this scale—bringing together 720 participants—could not have been held so successfully without you.
